Reviews summary
Was Anonym at Loafer Bread a mag?
Generally good small and intimate space. Only four tables and a bench inside. Coffee creamy and tasty but a bit weak and underdone in my humble view. Not sufficiently Melbourne like. Staff pleasant. Breads and cakes looked good although a small range only as the place itself is small. Brisk business. Has potential to grow. It's a 3.5 from me. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Loafer Bread:
More great coffee, in North Fitzroy - only 4 tables inside and a small window bench - it can get crowded. Go for the coffee and the pastries and of course the bead View all feedback.

The local Loafer Bread has existed in its current location for some years. The breads baked are tasty and although the café is small, I've eaten lunch there on a few occasions. I have never managed to order one of their popular pies as these always sell out very quickly. All bread, pastries etc that I have ordered to eat in the cafe have been tasty and the same can be said for bakery purchases to take home. Staff are always pleasant and friendly and service is fast and efficient if eating in. Despite its small size, there are always papers and magazines to read whilst enjoying a coffee and/or a light meal or snack.

REAL bread - Very good quality sour dough breads. Coffee and assorted cakes, rolls, croissants, and biscuits.
My two favourite weekend treats are the overnight white loaf and the croissants. Not cheap, but delicious every time! And best if you gobble it all up the same day. Lucky enough to be a local, so we grab and run for special occasions and brekky guests back at home, rather than sampling the sit-down meals.

My partner and I stopped by this organic bakery to pick up some bread. I ended up purchasing the most delicious croissant that was light and buttery... wow! I also bought a baguette that was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It was so good that I should have bought two haha. I also bought a light rye burger that was equally delicious. This was some of the best bread and croissants I have had in a while. This bakery is definitely worth a visit!
The best croissants and pain au chocolat in Melbourne are just as good as those from the top bakeries in France. The locals love them so much that there is always a long line on the weekends, but fortunately, it moves quickly!
Tastiest organic sour dough in town. I love how crispy and light their croissant is. Beats some of the hyped bakeries around town. For more foodie goodness follow my ig: emptystomach
The best cheese and tomato croissant I've had in years! Perfect amount of filling, cheese melted, structure and crunch maintained and hot! Keep it up!

Came here on a weekend day just after lunch before they close. We ordered the croissant with home made jam, and a egg baguette sandwich. Both of which are divine. The bread crunch and the flavour of the egg and mayo is moorish and can’t be stopped. Great smashed egg Baguette. I've enjoyed their baguettes for years. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Takeaway Price per person: $1–20
