The nights I can’t remember here are absolutely unforgettable. Saw my friends band play here which was real good. They were like the band I listened to heaps in my youth and I’m now 26 so it was heaps good memories.
The restaurant offers delicious food in a trendy converted warehouse setting. Be sure to check out their weekly specials and catch a live band in the band room afterwards!
Awesome bar, awesome atmosphere. The $12 burger nights are sensational, and the wagyu beef burger was absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favour and get the creamy slaw as a side (delicious! . Friendly staff, great food, great beer great night!
This place is great! The fitout is amazing, it’s no wonder that they’d won the architectural design award for their space. Good offering of alcoholic drinks, great bar food, friendly staff and an amazing live music room out back!
My friend and I visited recently on a Saturday night, it has been a while since I was here, so wanted to check it out again.<br/ <br/ The bar is really nice with open space and lots of seating, there are 2 bars so the wait time for a drink is really good.<br/ <br/ My friend ordered a mocktail and I ordered a spritz, both were made very well. I have to comment on the barman, he was so helpful. There was no cocktail or mocktail list but he assured us he knew most cocktails and he whipped up the mocktail based on what my friend liked. He was really patient and just so nice, thank you.<br/ <br/ A definite must and I would love to come back during the day too as the front bar is nice and cosy.
Nestled in Brunswick, Howler offers an eclectic blend of culinary delights and live entertainment, drawing crowds with its impressive DJs and a dedicated theatre for weekend performances. The venue’s stylish interior, celebrated for its architectural design, enhances the dining experience, featuring delicious bar food from hearty burgers to satisfying vegan options. While patrons relish the friendly service and reasonable drink prices, the space can get busy, leading to occasional delays at the bar and theatre entry. Overall, Howler promises an unforgettable evening filled with great vibes, making it a must-visit destination for music and food lovers alike.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere, love the high roof and glass all round! Groovy vibes with a live dj while we waited to get into the theatre for SYML, food excellent, huge variety of drinks, quick and polite service, and the concert was WOW!
Not my regular scene but was there for a concert. Food and drink prices were reasonable but I am not used to having a surcharge on a debit card. The queue to get drinks at the bar was sometimes mixed up with the queue to get into the theatre. They were ticking people off manually by name and not by scanning tickets which meant it was slow to get in to the theatre. It was very cramped in the theatre, maybe oversold a little bit.
Watched Laufey here. She's got a spectacular voice and the venue's sound engineering did it justice. Food before the show hit the spot as well! Chicken parmigiana, karaage and salad all good!
First visit to Howler to watch SYML last Friday. Great venue with a convenient parking lot out the front. The staff were friendly, drinks were reasonably priced, and food was good. Can't really ask for more. I love the seamless flow of the venue from the outdoors (with DJ) to indoors then band room at the end. Will be back!

A really fun little bar in Brunswick! It was perfect for a winter's night as they had all the heaters going and were serving hot mead, which by the way is

The Chick'n Burger and sweet potato fries was absolutely delicious! A great venue with a great atmosphere.
