Hell's Kitchen - Feedback

Was Anonym at Hell's Kitchen a mag?
A great place if you can find it late at night when you want a nightcap or two to finish off the evening - take the stairs up to Hell's Kitchen and enjoy the unique vibe that makes you feel like you have found a hidden little treasure of a place that is unpretentiously good. Can get a little cramped if big numbers happen to stumble in, but usually it is elusive enough to keep the large crowds away. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Hell's Kitchen:
Hidden upstairs off Central Place, colleagues and I visited one evening for some drinks and some food. The dinner menu is fairly limited and limited further when they run out of pineapple for their Hawaiian pizza but the meatballs and Turkish bread were decent if not unspectacular. The atmosphere is dark and moody but the beer is good. Arriving in Melbourne from an early flight all we wanted was food and a coffee. The cold winter's morning pushed us into one of Melbourne's laneways where heaters and commuters jostled for room. Hell's Kitchen was warm, inviting and served an impressive range of bagels. Service was attentive and the haloumi bagel was delicious.A hot coffee and a quick bite and we were ready for the day.

Ordered some food and after 40 odd minutes I thought they had forgotten and yes they had....asked for refund and they didn't say anything except that it take "3 minutes". Well if it took 3 minutes then why did it take until 40 minutes time for me to come up and say had you forgotten? Won't go back and will tell everyone to avoid this place if visiting Melbourne.
Hidden upstairs in a bustling Melbourne laneway you will want to grab casual seating along the windows to watch the passing traffic.Bar staff are friendly but happy for you to just relax with friends, drinks or your book / crossword. No pressure.A low key hum of generally quiet pockets of friendly banter and laughterNot flash, but very comfortable:

Absolutely great cafe in degraves street. Good prices, great menu and service. Always an excellent lunch option!
Popped into Hell's Kitchen after a long drive to get to Melbourne. Had a Cider and my partner had a soft drink. We shared an Aloha Pizza which was great to share. Would go for here for pre drinks or pre dinner snack. The pizza was on the small side if it was for a main. I really liked the kooky and quirky vibe of the place and the decor. Bonus they provide metal straws instead of plastic.
Friendly people and fast. Good food and good juices. Not very expensive. Absolutely reccomended! You should try de juice of the day, definately
This little gem is an absolute breakfast must! Bagel's are the best I've had since New York and the coffee's are up there with the best in Melbourne. The friendly and fast service is the icing on the cake for me. Much better than anything Degraves Street has to offer. Top work gents!
Sat upstairs in the bar area. Had a dive bar feel to it, can't complain about service. I wouldn't choose to eat here.

Hells Kitchen is one of those most Melbourne of venues. To find it you need to walk down a laneway (Centre Place) then up a flight of stairs. Those who make the effort to seek it out will be rewarded.
Friendly, good food, great spot above Centre Place. Always happy to head to hell's for a Friday lunch with a cheeky drink and a pulled pork burger.
Great atmosphere especially if you go upstairs and get a window seat. It's also an escape from the hustle and bustle noise of the lane below. The margherita pizza is nice and nicer when you place chilli flakes on it. Also they play good tunes. This place has improved since the last time I was here years ago.
This place is everything. I enjoy eating the pizza here, they're on par with the pizzas at Lucky Coq in Prahran. Just close enough. <br/ <br/ Hands down bringing in the loveliest of service. This place is quite lowly lit, so anyone who plans to take a good photo for their Instagram feeds. This ain't the place unless the dark theme with flash on is yo thang. <br/ <br/ You pay beforehand before you sit down or you can sit down first but still gotta pay beforehand but really this doesn't matter because this place is chill as. Although, I'd pay first before the food arrives. <br/ <br/
This restaurant is a quirky little bar tucked away upstairs in an alleyway, which only adds to its charm. I enjoyed coming here with my partner and sipping drinks by the window overlooking the laneway. The drinks were fantastic as well. Despite being from Brisbane, we have visited this place a few times and always have a great time.

This is a great bar in the Melbourne CBD. Major renovations have been completed. Perfect for board meetings and business deals.
At first, I thought Hell's Kitchen was just a bar called Hell Upstairs, but I discovered that the downstairs area is also part of the restaurant, and it is...
