The Melbourne Central outlet is always busy and is well patronised by the local Indian workers. br/ br/ I've tried many of the dishes on the menu and they have always tasted great. br/ br/ Great Biryanis, excellent curries and really tasty breads (roti, naan and kulcha), and they have Haywards 5000. Excellent, friendly service. I absolutely loved the Sagar Kulcha. It was full of flavour, generously filled, and the size of a dinner plate. The sauce was spicy and a wonderful accompaniment.
It’s a perfect place if one wants to enjoy a typical Hyderabad biryani. It’s flavoursome and gives one hit of nostalgia while in Australia. The North Indian fair is something that can be skipped. The South Indian cuisine is quite good. All in all a great experience, though a bit heavy on the pocket.
Today, I tried the Biryani at Chilli India, one of the best Indian restaurants in Australia. The Biryani was delicious and everything about the experience was exceptional.
This restaurant is always busy serving authentic Hyderabadi cuisine. The Chicken 65 is a standout dish, and their Dragon and Chicken Manchurian are also enjoyable. The Chicken Biryani is decent, but consistency may be an issue as it can vary in spice levels. It seems like there are different chefs preparing it. We've noticed that the biryani is usually better on Saturdays. Overall, this is our favorite spot for fiery Indian dishes.
