What Erling Schinner doesn't like about Bar Lourinha:
Visited Melbourne right before the major covid outbreak and stopped by on recommendation from a friend. While I’m sure this place has its merits, it simply wasn’t worth the price point. The food was delicious, but overpriced, and I could hear the head chef screaming...at his kitchen from my table. While the staff individually were all lovely, none of them seemed to like eachother at all really changed the vibe of the... View all feedback. What renata onuma likes about Bar Lourinha:
I have been lucky enough to visit Bar Lourinha a few times, however, my most recent experience was by far my favourite! br/ br/ From the minute we walked in, we were welcomed by the beautiful staff, who very promptly attended us to the table. br/ br/ The Food We opted for the $65pp feed me menu, and this is by far one of the most generous banquets I have experienced. read moreBar Lourinha is a well-known spot in Melbourne's food scene, but recent reviews indicate that the experience may vary. While the food quality is generally good, the portion sizes and pricing have left some diners feeling disappointed. One guest, in particular, was left hungry after a dinner with friends and felt that the value for money was lacking. Another visitor noted that while some dishes were tasty, the calamari portion was small for the price. However, positive aspects of the restaurant were also highlighted, such as the friendly service and extensive menu options. While some customers have had mixed experiences, others have enjoyed the brilliant food and welcoming ambiance that Bar Lourinha offers. With differing opinions on pricing and portion sizes, it seems like a hit or miss depending on individual preferences.
