We eat here every time we come to Melbourne. We love this place because they do good honest Italian food with authentic flavours, because it has a very ambience, because the staff and host are all so friendly and the service is great. My only complaint is that when had the duck patte it only came out with a very small amount of panini bread. Not nearly enough to use up all the patte. We asked for more (there were four us) and they brought out four more very small pieces, which is fine, but I was disappointed that the bill for this was an extra $11. Otherwise a very enjoyable evening.
I was with work colleagues and we chose a selection of entree and small mains to share. That was a good call. Wine selection is good and the ambiance casual and stylish. Food was very good. Cheeses were excellent and that matters for us Vegos.Friday night was relatively quiet on the edge of the CBD so we got plenty of attention.Wait staff were very attentive and not intrusive so that we could happily have our business conversation. Wish there were more places as good and civilised as Arkibar
