Melbourne has plenty of classy bars, and Trinket is easily one of my favourites. Walking in to this bar is like heaven, with it's gorgeous green plush furnishings, chandeliers, open fireplace and shelves full of intriguing nicnacs. The stunning vintage wardrobe hides something special which is also gorgeous, but you need to discover that for yourself.<br/ <br/ Trinket has recently added bottomless brunch to their weekends, and we ventured in for amazing cocktails and pizza. Welcomed warmly by lovely staff, it wasn't long before the room filled with fellow brunchers. However, we were fortunate enough to have our first cocktails by the fire which was lovely on an unseasonably chilly day. Cocktails include Bramble, mimosas and their own delicious spritz. I really enjoyed the cocktails, and they tasted as great as they looked.<br/ <br/ Back at our table we started with pizza cigars. Delicious filo rolls filled with molten cheese and sauce. Yum!! Then came the pizzas. We stuck with traditional margherita, and it was perfect; with it's chewy crust, napoli sauce and creamy cheese. Fresh basil was an authentic touch that was so tasty. We got through one pizza, but could have had more if we had wanted it; but being good, we enjoyed the simplicity and fresh taste of this pizza.<br/ <br/ Finishing up by the fire again, it was more cocktails and the most heavenly Italian dessert. Ricotta filled cannoli with an amazing crunchy shell and sweet, creamy filling. Sublime and the perfect end to our fun afternoon; we certainly finished on a high note.<br/ <br/ I've always loved coming to Trinket, and now that they have this amazing bottomless brunch available I'm sure I will be back again soon. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon, in glamorous surrounds with perfect hospitality and scrumptious food and cocktails. Trinket is definitely onto a winner with this concept and judging by the happy crowd, I'm not the only person who thinks so.<br/ <br/ Thank you so much for hosting us.

Not a bad spot at all. We stopped here for a pre dinner drink, some Domain Chandon sparkling. Our table was good and the restaurant bar area is certainly pleasant. Service was brisk and efficient and moderately warm. The wine hit the spot too. Conclusion: the bar restaurant is good.

The drinks here are unfortunately so bad. I think the appeal for this place was the wardrobe downstairs bar which is currently closed for the foreseeable future. We all sent cocktails back because they tasted off. Edit to add after response- yes, we were made aware, by your remarkably rude “busy busy!” host. Who was so busy that he could go outside for several cigarettes instead of serving a single customer. It took 20 minutes to be able to return our bad (tasted like soap) drinks and exchange them for cosmos that were missing an ingredient and tasted terrible. We ran into a couple at the next bar who also said the drinks were foul that night and rude service. Service: 1 Price per person: A$40–60

Recently visited Trinket to try their Feed Me menu. First of all, the space is cosy and elegant but not too stuffy, with little knick knacks decorating the space along with velvet furniture and vintage looking light fixtures.<br/ <br/ Staff made sure I was well taken care of and that my dietary preferences were accommodated. They were able to make the Feed Me veggie. It was a ton of for the price, starting with a fresh mozarella and tomato bruschetta. We also tried the cheesy filo cigars served with a charcoal aioli and the crispy haloumi topped with a sticky sweet blueberry and gin sauce. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me but the salty cheese helped to counteract that.<br/ <br/ Next came a really nice, soft Margherita with plenty of basil. It was served with a herb slaw, green and red tomato salad and a beetroot, pumpkin, quinoa and hung yoghurt salad which was my favourite.<br/ <br/ I always thought Trinket was more of a drink destination, but the food really impressed me. That said, the cocktail list is a must try. I started with a delicious rum and sparkling wine cocktail while my partner got a gin, lemon and honey one. We ended with a super smooth, rose infused espresso martini and an interesting, Japanese-inspired highball made with rice milk and melon.<br/ <br/ Whether for drinks, food or both, Trinket is a hit and provides good value for money the price.
