Another incident involved a server who was cleaning the floor when we arrived. She removed the dirty mop pad with her bare hands and then approached our table with our silverware and menus. I politely asked her to wash her hands before serving us. Then, my husband and I ordered the French toast, but it was overloaded with cinnamon and powdered sugar when it arrived. I sent it back, requesting less sugar and no cinnamon. What came back was simply regular toast that hadn't even been dipped in egg. This restaurant has significantly increased its prices since my last review a few years ago. I mentioned then that they refer to themselves as a diner, but they truly operate like a gourmet restaurant.
I have been visiting this restaurant since it first opened and have consistently had a great dining experience. I’m from New York, and in this area, this place is as good as it gets.
