Morrisons Cafe - Medway

The sausages were the worst I have ever eaten, so salty and horrible texture. The rest was just ok, came in two minutes, but not sure if that means they are not cooked fresh

So, not my usual place to write a review and I try to be positive, but .. I found myself in this backwater dive of a town called strood. I called this place home for a number of years growing up as a teenager. Went to use the self service machine and after pressing all the buttons, at the end of the process they say take a table number counter from the side and enter it in the machine ... no table counter number placemats. So went to the cashier and explained the situation, placed order and had to tell her a table number, lucky enough not busy so picked the largest table number (table that sits the most number of people) for me.. on my own. I had ordered a black coffee but was not given any direction by anyone and only found out after my breakfast came out, with no coffee or utensils. You had to go get your own coffee from the machine and pick up you own cutlery and condiments. Amongst my gripes about my breakfast was that I was very unhappy with my black pudding which was over fried as it had the same cruchiness as my toast. See photo of black pudding to see how stiff and crunchy it was, able to stab fork in and hold upright. They also gave me the knob end of the bread ! Who does that, I bin those bits.

Really pleased with the service and food we received on our visit for breakfast. Would recommend. Staff very helpful and friendly

It was lunchtime, the cafe was nowhere near full. There were no clean mugs, the teapots definitely need a good clean/descale and then there is only one hot water/coffee machine in working order. Speaking to others in the queue the machines have been out of order for many months?!? It's not expensive but surely one should expect a decent service?

They have replaced the sausages with something even cheaper and worse than before. Terrible. The receptionist needs training to be more personable. This restaurant used to be great, but I'll be going back to Wetherspoons after this experience.
