Local Public Eatery - Medicine Hat

Truly THE place to socialize in Medicine Hat. Diverse menu and fresh food. The drinks, atmosphere and people are always fantastic!!!

Dropped in for lunch one hot afternoon. A number of good menu choices beyond the usual burger and fries combinations. Some local (regional) beer options available as well. Not particularly busy while we were there, so service was quite attentive. Outdoor patio is attractive and comfortable.

We enjoy coming here every so often, the staff always seem helpful and friendly, inside is nice but when the weather is nice the patio is the place to be, the food has always been good, the burgers are a bit expensive for what they are but the Tacos are awesome & messy , it's a limited menu but with good choices for most , it's also family friendly, so we have taken our kids there are times & they enjoy the fish & chips or a burger.

Dropped in Thursday at 11:25 am to beat the lunch rush. Patio half-empty, not much traffic going into or out of the restaurant proper. The weather was good, so we took a great table on the patio. Service was fairly prompt, and very courteous. Coffee and water served quickly.As mentioned by others, the menu is a bit small, but, prices are okay. I ordered a burger and fries, my wife ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and fries. Server came back to our table every 10 minutes or so to apologize for the delay. Food finally arrived 35 minutes after order. Decent- sized portions, however, the fries were stone cold, soggy and limp, and the sandwiches, while warm, were nothing special.Not sure why the kitchen was so slow, but, the food quality did not justify the time they needed to create two simple basic lunches.

My husband and I enjoyed a Friday lunch here. It has a very large patio area that offers seating both in the sun or covered. It seemed a popular spot but not crowded. Both service and food was good during a busy lunch service.To their credit, we'd just begun wondering if it wasn't taking a little long to get our food when a manager appeared at our table to apologize that our order had missed being put in the kitchen queue and advise that we'd receive a discount on our lunch. The discount was a nice touch but we were most taken with the quick acknowledgement of and response to the error. That was much appreciated.
