Then I came back for the a la carte menu during the w... read more I first came for the brunch buffet on the weekend, which was some of the best food I have had in Mechelen. Then I came back for the a la carte menu during the week because brunch had been so good. I had the Verloren brioche brood met zalm and it was excellent (clearly, it looked so good I couldn't even wait to take a photo- better photos on their website XD). I also had the earl grey cake after and the flavors were spectacular. The coffee is good and the service is friendly. Definitely my favorite breakfast place here.

It seems that they no longer... read more I recently visited this restaurant after a change in ownership and was disappointed to find that they no longer offer vegan cakes. It seems that they no longer work with Madam Bakster. The only vegan option on the menu now appears to be soy yogurt. They do still have plant-based milks available for coffee, which is a positive note. I had previously enjoyed the vegan 'tuna' toast, but I am not sure if it is still available since they no longer offer a la carte options on the weekend. The lattes are still very good, but overall, the vegan options seem to have decreased since the change in ownership.
