Sail Restaurant & Catering Company

Friends of my husband recommended the "Sail" restaurant in Meaford. We were greeted by a young waitress who quickly cleaned off a table by the window for us. The new owner Ryan came over and introduced himself and took our order. We were able to change up our fries for a side salad at no extra charge. Fish was lightly battered and very flaky,the red wine was good and reasonably priced and a great selection of beers. I cannot say enough about "The Sail" We will return for sure!

Under new owner Ryan is great... wonderful fish and chips light new batter ... many more items on the menu and fresh new atmosphere. save room for dessert !!

This restaurant is now called Sail and under New ownership. Don't believe the reviews the food is excellent and the owner Ryan is incredible. My family and I had a fish and chip restaurant in the city for 29 years and just recently closed it 3 months ago. I know good fish and chips and haven't been able to find a place that has even come close to ours. This food is exceptional homemade and very tasty. The portion sizes are very generous and worth every penny. I have had the burger, the Halibut and homemade Meatloaf. Everything was delicious the presentation Is very appealing, service is fantastic and they'll do anything to make you happy.

The new name of this Restaurant is Sail. This Fish and Chips Restaurant use to be one of my husband and my favorite. We use to order take out at least once a month and we just loved it. Not any more. Last month we ordered a two piece halibut dinner. The pieces of fish were so overdone that we couldn't even cut into it with a fork. The french fries that came with the dinner were so overcooked they crunched like potato chips. When I have a bad meal at a new restaurant I always give them a second chance. Everyone has bad days. This restaurant is an exception. I will not be going back.
