Commodore - MCMAHONS POINT
Commodore
Description
The Commodore Hotel in North Sydney offers a great location and vibe, making it a good spot for drinks on the deck. While some patrons have found the food to be average and the prices a bit high, others have raved about the delicious pizza and good value for dinner. The venue is dog-friendly and a popular spot for after-work events, with a lively atmosphere and plenty of TVs for sports fans. Despite some mixed reviews about the food quality, the service and bustling atmosphere seem to be consistent positives. Overall, The Commodore Hotel seems to be a casual, fun spot for a night out, with the potential for improvement in regards to menu options and cleanliness.

Seven of us enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Commodore. Everyone's meal was wonderful, yum burgers, salmon was sooo good, steaks cooked perfectly and lamb shank fell off the bone. Yes, beer is a bit pricey (?) but who cares anyway - champagne is where it's at!!! Enjoy!
We got lamb shanks for dinner and it had a sweet potato mash. It was really good, my husband and I both loved it. You're in a pub but it has nice atmosphere. It's clean and well kept. I would definitely go back again, it was so good.
Eaten here a few times when in Sydney and I have never had a bad meal. A tad on the expensive side for a pub meal, but a decent size and well prepared food. Friendly staff and good service. Just an easy meal.
The restaurant provides clear labeling for gluten-free options and most staff are knowledgeable about coeliac disease and can indicate it on your order. However, they cannot guarantee there will be no cross contamination. Despite this, I am quite sensitive and have never experienced any issues when ordering the gluten-free vegetarian nachos here. I have ordered it many times. It is always a good idea to inform the staff that you have coeliac disease.
