Nestled in the heart of McLoud, this charming hometown café has garnered a mixed reputation. Diners frequently rave about the delectable fried catfish, consistently highlighted as a standout dish, often served with a delightful array of sides that varies in flavor. While many appreciate the warm, attentive service and inviting atmosphere, some have noted issues with outdated seating and comfort levels during peak hours. The restaurant's desserts, particularly the hot apple cake, also receive acclaim. We love this little restaurant! Delicious home cooked food! We usually get the catfish or chicken strips.

The food is really good there. The menu has a lot of different things to order you don't just have to have catfish. The waitresses are very very kind always making sure asking you if you need anything really friendly people. Relaxing atmosphere in the homemade pies to die for they also have ice cream to go with it if that's what you choose. One of my favorite places to eat around this here neighborhood

The catfish at this restaurant was possibly the best I have ever tasted. The rest of the food was seasoned traditionally, allowing the diner to adjust to their own taste. The atmosphere has a 1960's Americana feel. While I have had better collard greens and pinto beans elsewhere, I cannot recall a meal on the road that I enjoyed as much as this one.
