I found T5 Ranch at a local farmer 's market, and have been incredibly impressed. The meat tastes just like what we used to butcher on the farm where I grew up. The eggs yolks are bright in color and fresh, and the pork is beyond compare. Once you taste a 'clean ' meat, you never go back. I will be buying much more!

The meat is always flavorful and I really appreciate knowing where it comes from and that it's not loaded with chemicals. Every piece of produce I've ever gotten from them has been excellent and fresh at a good price. Which you can't find in most produce today without paying an outrageous price. I'm almost 16 weeks pregnant and craving blueberries so I ordered one of their blueberry pies. My 2 and a half year old daughter and I sat and demolished a huge piece as soon as I got it home. It was sooooooooooo good! Just the right amount of sweetness. I am very happy my family found the T5R and we will continue to buy as much of the food we eat as possible from them. It makes me feel better knowing exactly what goes into our family's mouths and that it's not chemicals and growth hormones. Thank you so much mike and deeann!

He was not the... read more I approached one vendor and inquired about who manages the market. She pointed out a large man barefoot, tending to something on a smoking grill. He was not the type I would typically envision as a Farmers Market manager. However, as we approached him, I was immediately drawn to the two amazing pork chops sizzling on the grill. I introduced myself and learned he was Mike Hammack from Thunder 5 Ranch. We ended up chatting with Mike for about half an hour as he interacted with customers. It was clear that nearly everyone knew him; they would greet him with a friendly “Hi Mike,” and he would ask how their kids were doing or inquire about some aspect of their lives. His interactions were genuine and heartfelt, devoid of any pretense. We left with four of those incredible pork chops from Thunder 5 Ranch, several bags of lettuce from other vendors, a large flat of strawberries, as well as heirloom tomato and pepper plants, plus a few bars of soap. I finally had the chance to grill those pork chops last night, and they were, without a doubt, the best pork chops we've ever had. I plan to call Mike at Thunder 5 Ranch today to order one of their pork bundles! We also intend to schedule a family visit to T5R later this summer. It’s safe to say that whenever we visit family and friends in Carbondale, we will be stopping by the Carterville Farmers Market again.
