Three Dollar Cafe
Description
Three Dollar Café, a local favorite, offers a lively atmosphere with live DJs and a menu featuring tasty options like wings and Buffalo shrimp. While many praise the friendly service and delightful dishes, concerns about food quality and hygiene have surfaced. Instances of missing appetizers and smaller drink portions have left some customers dissatisfied. Despite these issues, the café remains popular for its delectable meals, including standout items like the Korean BBQ sandwich and homemade sweet tea. Overall, while the café has its strengths, some patrons urge improvements in service and cleanliness for a refined experience.

I used to be a big fan of this local spot, but my feelings are starting to change with each visit. To be fair, our server and the food were excellent, as always! However, I have two complaints from tonight. First, I've been coming here for years, but the glass my "Texas Margarita" was served in tonight was disappointingly small. I remember when it used to come in a taller glass. I had just four sips and the drink was gone! Please stop shortchanging customers on drink sizes. The second issue that really bothered me was seeing the bartender eating at the bar while making drinks. She didn’t wash her hands even once after putting food in her mouth! That’s really unappetizing. Even though she isn’t handling food directly, her hands still touch the rims of glasses, and I don’t want her unwashed hands contaminating my drink. If you’re hungry, please take a break to eat — don’t eat while making drinks. With so many health concerns out there, it’s frustrating to see staff being so careless. Remember, there are always customers watching!
Three Dollar Cafe has always been one of my favorite spots, and I'm excited that a location has finally opened in McDonough. My favorite dishes are the wings and Buffalo shrimp, both of which are absolutely delicious. I've noticed that lunch tends to be quite calm, but they mentioned that dinner hours can get pretty busy. I highly recommend giving them a try, and if you do, be sure to let them know that Eric Berry from Fathom Realty sent you!
Update: The manager returned my call and said I could bring the food back for a remake, but no refund, discount, or other compensation was offered. When the manager saw the food, he just shook his head and apologized. Both the food and the customer service were very disappointing. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Our server Caiden was quick and polite, and the whole team was very welcoming. The Korean BBQ sandwich was amazing and absolutely worth a visit to the café. The appetizer sampler was another excellent option, offering large portions ideal for sharing.
At Three Dollar Cafe, the four of us ordered wings, shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, a meatball sub, and a grilled grouper sandwich. Our sides included salad, fries, sweet potato fries, and mac and cheese. Everyone had only great things to say—the grilled grouper sandwich was one of the best I've ever tasted. The sweet tea is homemade, not from a mix. The service was friendly and prompt, and the prices are excellent. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area again. Update 5/24/22: While passing through, we stopped for another meal and took photos this time! The food was just as fantastic as before. The squash casserole from the menu was especially delicious!
