Great place on the McDonough square. The food was good, the wait staff was friendly and recommended a good house drink. Their sound system is great, the place is clean and has a welcoming vibe. We went to see Harvest Moon play there and I would definitely go back. View all feedback.
What CallMeTayCat doesn't like about Southern Roots Tavern Eatery:
Me and my family were hoping to rent out Southern Roots on a Sunday for my older sister celebration of life party. She passed away on July 30th of pneumonia after a long battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Our family was willing to pay the price whatever they wanted. So when my sister's wife went up there the following Saturday the manager would not give her the time of day and brought her to tears. I will never visit... View all feedback.

This place is massive with seating on two levels and big screen tvs upstairs for viewing entertainment below. I came to see a Jimmy Buffett cover band that had free admission on the last Sunday evening in August. As a Parrothead who has heard the real Buffett, I can attest that this singer with two female backup singers and an impressive tropical band made the Key West legend proud. The menu is small at Southern Roots, but the chicken fried steak I ordered was tasty and served hot with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The waitresses were attentive and everybody had a great time! If you haven’t been to this tavern, get tickets for upcoming bands. You’ll enjoy the experience.
It's a great place for a concert. Located on the Square in Mcdonough. Nice place. I'm not sure what the capacity is. I've been to several concerts there. Always had a good time. The food is good and the service is good. They generally book tribute bands. A good time.

What a disgrace.
Sweet potatoe fries were over cooked, service was not good, enjoyed the band so, I'll go back, drinks were good!
