Angel's Diner - McAlester

Holy Cow. The noise level generated by the staff, banging dishes, yelling, and even putting ice in a cup is literally unbearable. The food? It’s ok, but does not make up for the most unsettling and chaotic atmosphere outside of a prison cafeteria.

I love my 50s Diners and this one easily shot itself into the top 5 not only with the oldies music but the atmosphere WILL grab you. The decorations will catch your eye, maybe even give you a giggle. The Staff were incredibly friendly, even homey; as a man who is dark of skin this made my experience wholly enjoyable allowing me to relax and enjoy my meal. The food is accurate to the theme, burgers, steaks, OKRA!!! So if you love that all American taste, you’re gonna have a good time. The food was good, lightly seasoned but cooked so as to lock in individual flavors which is a huge sign that the cooks are well trained. Fair warning, the mannequins are so well done that jump scares are possible.

We picked this off google looking for a lunch stop. 50's, 60's atmosphere with great food,, good pricing and great service!!!!! Had a fun time!!!!!!

Great atmosphere. Meal quality good to very good, desert was really good. Pay them a visit.

Parking: Free parking. If was too busy be hard Kid-friendliness: Kind people. Clean! Quiet! Good oldies music !!! To me makes it kid friendly
