I had low expectations going in, as I had heard that this restaurant was small, crowded, and had a limited menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Although the space was small, it was cozy and relaxing. The staff were attentive and accommodating as soon as we walked in. The waitress went above and beyond to answer our questions, running back and forth multiple times without any complaints. The food was amazing - high quality, well-prepared, and delicious. I was particularly impressed with the vegan options. I can't wait to come back again!
Had a fantastic meal here, and it was very reasonably priced. Lovely soup, absolutely amazing cajun chicken curry, and a delightful Eton mess. Nice atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommended.
This is a restaurant we have drive past for years and ended up booking today when online booking failed for another two restaurants and i found this one was recommended. I got a booking (luckily as they were turning people away) It is a small restaurant with 8 tables, an ala carte menu and a specials board. I had an incredibly flavorsome stornoway black pudding served on caeser salad with a perfectly cooked poached egg. The black pudding was deep fried, crisp on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. I followed it up with a white wine and cheese glazed salmon on pureed potatoes. Rich and perfectly poached salmon with a to die for sauce. And finally a fudge brownie with ice cream and berries Service was good though a little slow towards the end as a very noisy group came in but all in all it was a great night
If you're passing through Minishant, make sure not to overlook this hidden gem of a restaurant. While the exterior may seem ordinary, the inside is stylish, spotless, and well-organized with ample space between tables. The menu, although somewhat limited for vegetarians, offers a good selection of dishes. The Teriyaki salmon was a standout, but unfortunately my vegetarian burger was grilled too much, resulting in a tough exterior. Despite this, the flavors inside were delicious. The desserts, however, were a highlight and were absolutely delicious.
We visited this gem of a restaurant for the first time today; it will be a regular call when in the area. The food was magnificent. Freshly cooked to order, and so so tasty. The staff were friendly, welcoming and super efficient and the prices were a bargain given the quality of food available. We arrived as strangers but left as friends. Please visit if you are in the area, and even if you are further afield, the Minishant Inn is well worth a visit.
