Randy and Julie, owners, have done a great job making t... read more This is the one place in town where you will find all of your friends, and maybe make a few new friends. Randy and Julie, owners, have done a great job making this an inviting place for all ages. The food is good, from fried bar food, to complete dinners with flatware and china. There are two sections to this bar. The front half, Pals, is the main bar area and kitchen, also where the ice cream and 1 of 2 stages. The back half is called The Fieldhouse, and is connected by a hallway with restrooms. This is where the 4-6, wall mounted tv 's are, the pool table, air hockey, fooseball, video games, and main stage are located. There is even a heated smoking shack right outside of the bar. The owners are generous and present in the community, and the patrons make the atmosphere friendly. It is normal for all of the kids and families to head down to Pals/Fieldhouse after the Friday night football games. If Maxwell, Iowa is Mayberry then Pals is our Cheers.
