It came with just a handful of fries and a salad that was simply a few torn lettuce leaves in a bowl. When I asked about the gravy, my plate was taken back to the kitchen and returned with some brown gravy. Later, I noticed on the menu that my meal was supposed to include toast, but I never received it. All this for $11.79. I would have given one star, but the waitress was making an effort, even though she clearly needed more training.

Our waiter was clearly still learning, so I’ll cut him some slack for the poor service, but during our order, it seemed like he wasn’t paying attention at all. Since we were the only customers there, the lack of attention was puzzling. The food was also below average. I ordered the chicken bacon melt, which was barely acceptable and tasted like it came from a microwave. My friend had the pizza burger, and I’m still not sure what made it "pizza." It looked more like a soggy, cafeteria-style country fried steak on a burger bun. The total for our two sandwiches was $15, which felt about three times too expensive for what we got.

I wo... read more I decided to stop at Max Cafe simply because my dog is named Max and it was lunchtime. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food on the menu. I would definitely return for another burger.

However, when I arrived, there were staff members inside c... read more I attempted to dine here after checking the website, which stated the restaurant was open until 8 PM. However, when I arrived, there were staff members inside cleaning the tables, but the restaurant was listed as for sale. We then went to the next door establishment, and they informed us that they had closed at 3 PM.
