I was treated by a friend for my birthday (late due to friend being on a cruise). She had been here often suggested her fav which we both got. Food was hot delicious. The shrimp in the dish were slightly overcooked but overall aGREAT meal!

My order was to go so I did not feel the need to give a tip and should hav... read more I was not given all of my change. The change was about 2.15. I was only given back 2. My order was to go so I did not feel the need to give a tip and should have been give my .15 and allowed to determine if I wanted to tip. Becaused I asked theworker became very irritated. I ordered 4 items that all require salsa but was told since my order was to-go I had to pay foradditional salsa. Not to mention the container of salsa was very small and only 1/2 full. I pressed for additional salsa and theworker literally stormed to the back got 1 extra salsa and brought it back. I reached my hand out for it and she slammed it downon the table and walked away. So they tried to steal my money, gave me less condiments because I had a to-go order and thenslammed the salsa down on the table even though I had my hand out to receive it! VERY VERY RUDE! Literally angry for no reason!

Had an outstanding meal of Chivo (goat) street tacos, rice and beans on 28 August 2022. Server was awesome, 8 in our group and more than that in thetables next to us, all handled by the same server and he didn?t miss a beat. He even bussed our table as we cleared off someplates. Very different than my experience below. Good service makes a world of difference! Daughter and grandkids took me heretoday for Fathers Day. We did a large cookout yesterday at my daughter?s a day early. I wanted to keep the mess to a minimum ather house (and ours lol) so I chose Azteca. Never had a bad meal there and it?s close to home. But hard for me to pick a Mexicanplace when married to an American of Mexican descent that cooks way better and more authentic than the Mexican restaurantsaround. Aside from that, we got there and sat outside and while waiting for grandson to arrive I noticed a lady come out of therestaurant with a lit cigarette ????. Until I read other reviews I had no idea any place in America still allowed smokingindoors. So my grandson arrived after we ordered and our server was MIA. The rest of us had our food. My grandson went inside,asked a different server to place him an order and told/showed her where he was sitting and it never happened. Food neverarrived. Our server showed up so he mentioned it to him and the order arrived finally. Hate to say it, I feel todays server hadno desire to serve food. Not one of us was offered a refill. Had to ask for more chips (9 of us went through two basketsquickly). He wasn?t very attentive at all. Food was good, service was meh, expressing a lack of interest or enthusiasm.

It is about 2.5 hours away from home, and we found it literally due to a wrong turn on the way to a wedding almost a year ago. Super friendly staff, decent portions, fair prices and delicious food! What's better? Some of the more authentic dishes and not strictly Tex-Mex.
