Won’t be coming back. Although our service was friendly and the restaurant was cozy (on the side where the fireplace was) and the live music was nice, the food…sucked. The price compared to what you get is no where near comparable. I just paid $46 for a swordfish steak that was as thick as a pencil. Besides for the thickness being an issue and I swear it was 3oz of fish although they insisted it was 6oz (even if it was, I never in my life had such a thin swordfish steak of that price) it was coated in an enormous amount of salt. My wife’s European and I’m used to too much salt. This was saltier than drinking saltwater from the sound. By the time I wanted to complain after two bites and giving one to my wife to tell ask her if it was salty (and she said it was) 3/4’s finished. The cocktail drinks from the menus didn’t have any noticeable amounts of any alcohol. My mom who can’t have any spices complained about the scampi having some heat in it, and the menus didn’t mention anything about spice, and they just asked if they can wrap it up for her. Best thing on the menu was the burger. I have two stars because the staff was nice and the restaurant was clean and cozy. The price to quality ratio was so off I’m sure I won’t be the only one thinking I should have just gone to a steak house.

We did... read more This place surprised my friends and I, and not in a good way. We were visiting from out of town and were recommended to check out the food at Windamere. We did come during off-season, but that is no excuse for the food we were given.Although our server was friendly, they seemed like they were either drunk or not fully there mentally. This really dampened our experience and then when the food was brought out, it made things worse. Things did not taste fresh, were underwhelmingly seasoned/unseasoned, and for the price paid, this was disheartening. My friends and I love food and rarely waste anything, so the fact that we pushed our plates aside and couldn't even finish anything was surprising. Maybe we went on a bad day but we are unlikely to visit again in the future.

The lobster Cobb was great but small. The shrimp scampi was good but I thought it had way too much garlicand lemon. The burger and truffle fries were great. The skirt steak was horrible. They use the strangest dry rub seasoningI’ve ever tasted. Forget that it was raw when it was served, the taste was like burnt hair. I kid you not. You need a newchef. Anyone who puts out food like that without tasting it first is in the wrong business. This place is not worth the highprices. Will not be back.

While eating my husband texted me saying don’t get seafood from there because he thinks he caught a bad stomach virus from there last time he ate there. Ourlunch was awful. FOOD IS NOT FRESH !!!! Wonder how clean the chef is. My sister-in-law got a chicken sandwich with batter thattasted like seafood. The 3 of us have a stomach ache and it’s not fun. Not going there again.
