It was... read more I recently dined at this spot for fish and chips. The eye-catching sign attracted me to the café, where I ordered the standard fish and chips for £9.99. It was worth every penny! The fish was thick and flaky, and the batter was perfect with no grease. The chips were equally delicious and not oily. I learned they fry in beef dripping, which explains the amazing flavor. My meal was cooked to order, so it was hot and fresh. I would definitely return. The restaurant offers outdoor seating, where I enjoyed watching the bikes go by.

We sat o... read more First time eating at Charles restaurant. Husband and I had bacon sandwich and pot of tea each. Lovely fresh bread and bacon and great friendly service. We sat outside, the tables and the restaurant are very clean and they have good clean toilets for the customers. Would definitely eat there again

All staff were super friendly and ou... read more With lots of choices for places to eat in Matlock Bath, we decided to try somewhere new today, and we weren't disappointed! All staff were super friendly and our waiter was very engaging, he talked through the menu with me and my wife (I went slightly off menu and they were very accommodating) and even some to and listened to my 2 sons. Food was great, service was excellent (and very fast) and the food was great value for money. If you want your fish and chips in the comfort of a restaurant, rather than a chip shop. Then look no further! Thank you for your great service!
