We had to return both of our... read more This is truly a restaurant to be avoided. Although the service is relaxed in Italy, it was particularly slow and disorganised here. We had to return both of our main courses. The chicken they use, is processed. The smoked salmon tasted like rubber and was not fresh. The bread was stale and not fresh. The staff were rude and argumentative. At one point after we returned our main courses, three members of staff were around our table causing quite a scene. There are lots of very nice restaurants in Matera but this is not one of them. Avoid
