We were t... read more This was my first impression of Matera, As I walked down Via Lucana from my Air BNB with my friend excited to make our way to I sassi we stopped here. We were treated like family. My Italian is okay but not perfect and they did their best to accommodate. Domenico was outstanding. He was an excellent help in advising me on how to get to my ancestral village and is now a friend. His passion for his city and food is obvious and he left a lasting impression on me and my friend. We will always think of the great experience we had with Domenico when we think of Matera and we will absolutely return! Grazie Domenico!!
