After I left a tip — because I always do — I noticed there was a coper... read more For me, it was a total tourist trap. The pizza was average and arrived at our table cold. After I left a tip — because I always do — I noticed there was a coperto charge of €6 on the bill. Just to clarify, the coperto was listed as a service charge — no bread or anything else was included, and there was no mention of it anywhere on the menu. When I asked about it, some irritated lady started explaining that “this is how it works in Italy”… I really don’t mind paying, but I expect to actually receive the service I’m paying for.
