"Without a doubt, this is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I was a loyal customer of Lucky Star when Diane's parents owned the location in Canton. If she wasn't working at the front, you could find her at a table with her sisters, doing their homework. I now live in Massachusetts, but I still think back fondly to those days.".
What Andrew Boals doesn't like about No. 1 Kitchen:
The daughter who was cashing people out is absolutely rude. Got charged for 3 egg rolls got 1 ordered General tso with noodles, the noodles are hard as a brick and didn’t get general tso chicken. Called to inform them and the daughter (surprise surprise) was rude and cussed as loud as possible on the phone at my girl friend. So if you want to play the game of who’s cashing me out today and are they gonna be nice and... View all feedback.
We love this for Chinese take out. The food is delicious and we love the family that owns it. We have had the beef and broccoli, ribs, beef chow mein, hunan combination, fried rice and egg rolls. Everything was delicious. I recommend calling ahead and picking up the order. Some nights we just don’t want to cook but we also don’t want fast food…this is the perfect solution.
Awesome local place! Good, hot food, good service too!
I’ve been going to the same Chinese place for years and was ready for a change. I was at a friends house in New Franklin and she ordered Chinese for me at No. 1 Kitchen. It was really good so I decided to try it in my town. I ordered Shrimp curry with onion and vegetables with white rice, egg rolls and crab rangoon. First, an egg roll. So fresh and delicious. No old oil taste or risking breaking a tooth on it. Then the crab rangoon. I couldn’t believe how light and crisp and fresh they were. The crab filling is slightly sweet as it should be. I mean, really? Freakin fantastic. Now on to the curry. It tastes just as wonderful as it looks. The shrimp were huge. The flavor was amazing. Spicy spicy. Lol. I couldn’t have asked for a better meal. And on Christmas Eve! The woman who answered the phone was so nice and had a very pleasant voice. I was expecting an attitude since it was Christmas Eve evening but nope. Not at all. Great food and great customer service! My new Chinese joint.
From the reviews most people seem to really like it, I thought it was just OK. Didn’t care for the eggrolls and the other food was kind of Greasy and bland. Up in the air if I go back
The most important thing to me in Chinese food is that it is clean and well prepared. The stainless steel kitchen is spotless
