I've eaten here now five times in the last six weeks and every time I go I love the food, the service and the vibe of the restaurant. It feels like you're in Japan in a small alleyway shop! The food is so fresh, great tasting and comes out fast. Heaps of options on the menu. I've eaten there on my own, with my partner and with friends - everyone I've taken there has loved it and gone back. The staff that work there a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kibuna Japanese Noodles:
We were told to get there early for Sunday dinner as the maximum seating was limited to 10 during the pandemic. We had ramen, bento and they were quite ordinary to below average standard. Those assorted sashimi was fine. The prices were reasonable but the card fee was excessive. However the worst was seating comfort as they didn't switch on air conditioning and we were nearly suffocated after seating there for one ho... View all feedback.
The reviews were good so thought we would give it a go. Waited til they opened as we were a little early. The waitress hung out the flag and opened the door. Didn’t acknowledge we were even there. Didn’t speak or say hello. And just pointed to a table for us to sit. We sat and thought a welcoming hello would’ve been appreciated. The whole vibe from this girl/woman was just rude. We got up and left.
Lovely authentic small Japanese restaurant. Great food and service. Very good value. The vegetarian udon and ramen soups were excellent. The eggplant agedashi was amazing, the sauce outstanding. Most highly recommended!!.
Had both udon and ramen. I would rate them as average. No surprise. The rice in the salmon avo sushi was cold. Again , rather average.
And here I was, just a couple of hours ago, rating an excellent ramen in Sydney, and saying that I had not found any ramen as good as those. Now, I just had dinner at Kibuna, and here it is. Real Japanese service, impeccable, kind, clean and quick, efficient, always with a generous, frank smile. Sushi is seriously fresh and crisp, crumbed oysters feel like they are straight from Tsukiji market (old Tsukiji market...sigh). And the ramen is absolutely gorgeous. I opted for the lemon shio highly recommend it. Fabulous, exciting, that citrus zest bringing it all together, light and tasty, reminding me very much of the excellent yuzu shio from Afuri/Zund Bar in Kanagawa. I could not have asked for a better choice. This is real Japanese food! With mastercraftsmanship.
Great Katsu curry!!! Really enjoyed it. My wife had the chicken and I had the pork and both were so so tasty. Will definitely be back for more!!
