Exceptional cuisine, in a relaxed atmosphere in the middle of Sheringham. Always extremely helpful explanations of all on the menu, hot and well presented dishes at the pace you would like to eat. View all feedback.
What aussiesb doesn't like about Chai-Yo Thai:
had a quick stop here (no beer unfortunately, as it was a hot day) both our 2 meals were more than acceptable. Not on par with other Thai in Sydney but still enjoyable. View all feedback.
Freaking good pad thai. Spicy, with a slice of lemon. They prepared the order fast too. I ordered at 2.00pm, had it in less than 10mins and it’s perfect. Will come back over over.
Very authentic and yummy Thai food in an unassuming alley in Potts Point (near Kings Cross station). I had a Pad Thai with the crispy pork add-on. Everyone in the group seemed to agree it was great food. I'll be back to try some of their other dishes.
Cute little thai restaurant tucked away on one of the little streets in Potts point. (Closest station is kings cross. This place does not have much to offer in terms of service, no friends Thai smiles but what it does offer is some mouthwatering ,spicy, full of authentic flavours Thai food. Must trys are the soft shell crab the crispy pork in your choice of sauce. I recommend the chilly basil. And a plus point for this place is the BYO concept... Yes!!! Get your own glass of red, white or whatever you like and pay a small fee to pair it with this delicious food you got a celebration going.
I live around the corner from this place and I've been here dozens of times. (Once a week or so. I like the ladies serving, they're very friendly, although their English isn't great. The food of course is most important, and I've tried most of the menu by now. The best things are their good old massaman curry and their Hor Mok Thalay. The latter being a true feast dish (for such a small restaurant , it comes in aluminium foil and it is on fire : I've taken my mother there more than once, and I don't do that lightly. It's a 4.5/5 for me for price/quality ratio. Of course it isn't the best Thai in the city, it can't be because it's quite low budget, but if you just want a quick meal and you are in the neighbourhood, this is a nice little place.
Fantastic food and quick service though better for take away because of somewhat naff decor and uncomfortable seats. but the food is amazing!
