Have been here twice now - a few years apart and both times fantastic. First time there was the first time having sticky date pudding in Australia. Second time we were driving through and had to find the pub again for it. It didn't disappoint then either! Was open over Easter break so was great stop when many options were closed. What User doesn't like about The Federal Hotel:
Went here with 36 other people for a dinner. Ordered a Lemon, Lime & Bitters. Not hard but took back the first one and then got exactly the same thing again and was told it was a different sort of bitters. Well the drink had no lime in it and maybe 1/2 teaspoon of bitters. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the more you go there, the more you will learn it! The food is AMAZING every time I go there, I always know what I want every time. they have a wide range of drinks and drinks. If you are a person who eats a great meal, but not too big, the Possum Burger is the best. Food always comes fast and it's always so delicious. Also a warning if you ever get the Fed Burger, NOT GET it for YOURSELF! It is large enough for 2 people. The live music and bands they have are always great and cheerful and funny. I would recommend DEFINITELY, it's such an AMAZING restaurant.

The food was amazing and different from the normal pub food, but it is also on the menu. The service was great and friendly. We were made to feel very special as I informed with my booking that it was our wedding. Just the nice touch. Very recommended The Federal Hotel Maryborough. Gavin and Jess Chin should be proud of your business at these very different times. Thanks for a fantastic night.

Great pub grub lunch, great prices. Burgers absolutely delish and filling. Excellent value, relaxed vibe and the service by staff a stand out. Will be back on our return trip. Give the Fed a try.
