It would appear that this restaurant is giving priority to take away orders. Two nice young people serving but were unable to deal with the situation. The grilled vegetables were delicious. A very frustrating experience.

Mr. Angelo and Mrs. Chiara, the owners and young local entrepreneurs, bring their best to this place: The restaurant is renowned for its excellent dough, authentic and fresh ingredients, and prompt and fast service (important for a pizzeria). But the real surprise comes from the food! A quality dinner with generous appetizers, fresh dairy products from the local Olivaro farm—one of the most significant historical sites for the founding of Maruggio. Ditto, the cured meats are top-notch. The chef prepares cooked and seared appetizers, along with excellent and fresh meat or seafood first courses. The roasts were a feast of emotions, comparable in quality to those of the finest butcher/grill. Florentine steak, Apulian bombette, local sausage, all truly exquisite, washed down with excellent local DOC and DOP wines. A feast for the senses. For a casual pizza or a sophisticated dinner with a tasting menu (expect the size of a formal meal), Tastevin is highly recommended. The quality/price ratio, considering the high level of service, is truly excellent. Let 's be honest, it 's at least 30% less than other famous establishments, and the atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, is very welcoming. The restaurant is located on a small hill, at the top of Via Per Mare in Maruggio, and is very breezy even on the hottest evenings. I recommend both inside and out, depending on the occasion. Ms. Chiara offers highly professional advice on all the daily specials, as well as custom-ordered menus. High-quality draft and bottled beers are also available. The food was exquisite, prepared with great care and using quality ingredients. Every dish was a delight, from the starters to the desserts: you could really taste the passion in the kitchen. The staff also helped make the evening special: highly knowledgeable, friendly, and always available, they made us feel welcomed from the very first moment. The atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, perfect for a dinner with friends. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and impeccable service. We'll definitely be back!

Two pizzas... read more We went out for dinner last night and were very satisfied. The mussel soup was really good and plentiful, and we finished it with a bread pucciatina. Two pizzas were well-cooked and topped with the right sauce. We loved them. We also had a classic fried potato, which was also good and plentiful, and fried well. Both the young man who took our order and the young woman who served us were very kind. The menu is extensive and not just limited to pizzas. We'll be back to try something else.
