From the friendly wel... read more I haven't been in Martinsville for too long, but I was recommended to try Third Bay Cafe, and I must say, we were not disappointed at all! From the friendly welcome from the owner to the attentive service from our waitress, everything was wonderful. The food was fantastic as well! We tried the salmon and the hamburger steak, both of which were delicious. However, the true highlight was the mini crab cakes we ordered as an appetizer—wow, they were amazing! We will certainly be returning. Thank you!

While we usually get takeout rather than dining in, the food has always been great—except for one time when my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. That dish was a letdown; the ratio of grits to shrimp was off, as it was mostly grits with very little shrimp. Given the price, it was especially disappointing. Overall, though, the food is usually quite good.

We ate inside but they also have an outdoor patio. My husband ordered the Reuben Sandwich and I ordered the Club Sandwich. The sandwiches had alot of meat on them. It came with chips, slaw and a pickle wedge. They also haddesserts but the sandwiches were so meaty that we didn't have room for any. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We would certainly think about returning for a date night. However, it may not be the best choice for young children. The prices were quite reasonable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
