My experience was extremely frustrating—my card was charged for another tabl... read more I would give this Applebee's location in Marshall, Missouri, zero stars if I could. My experience was extremely frustrating—my card was charged for another table's bill, which was twice the amount of my own. After I noticed the mistake, I alerted the server, who instead of correcting the issue, charged my card again for my own meal (a salad)! So, at that point, I ended up paying for two separate bills. I spoke with two managers to try to reverse the first incorrect charge, but while I was waiting for a resolution, my bank account was hit with charges for a meal I didn't order. To make matters worse, the restaurant offered no compensation for their error. Instead, the managers were passive-aggressive, insisting that no mistake had been made and that it was "just an honest mistake that can happen sometimes." So, do you frequently charge customers for other people's meals and only act when a customer complains, only to label that customer as "hateful"? This location has poor service and management—do yourself a favor and stay away.

I've heard that several servers and managers are taking tips that don't belong to them, leading to multiple staff members quitting due to unfair tip distribution. I would suggest seeking out other dining options, like IHOP or Bloomfields, if possible. My own experience working here was quite negative. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the kitchen is concerning; the dishwasher isn't working properly, and the back area, where food is prepared, is often dirty. I urge you to think twice before dining here, as it poses health risks for you and is unfair to the staff.

It was around 8 PM and the place... read more Applebee's Grill was just okay. I wasn’t very hungry, so I ordered some appetizers: pretzels with beer cheese sauce and nachos. It was around 8 PM and the place wasn’t busy at all. Unfortunately, the cheese dip was cold, the pretzels were overcooked, and the nachos looked like leftover chips from the bottom of a basket. Our waitress seemed very standoffish, literally standing across the aisle about 4-5 feet away to talk to us. The sweet tea wasn’t sweet, and the soda was way too carbonated. That said, please remember to tip your waitstaff! We left a decent tip, and she followed us to the door asking if we wanted change. When we said no, she looked genuinely surprised, then smiled, thanked us, and wished us a good night like she wasn’t used to receiving tips. Hopefully, the Applebee's Grill menu improves and so does the service next time.

Then, she instructed the front hostess to set a table for five instead of six, but the hostess only set it for four and made the guests move. The management here is so rude and unprofessional! Truly unpleasant and disrespectful!

However, when she insisted that the tea she brought for my husband was unsweetened when it was actually sweet, it became clear that something was off. I have to commend my husband for handling the situation patiently, as he typically wouldn’t have reacted so calmly. I'm not certain if we’ll go back, but if we do, we will definitely try to avoid having the same waitress.

Each time we visited, the place was spotless. However, it can be difficult to obtain utensils unless you specifically request them, and the servers aren't always attentive, which can lead to delays in getting refills. When you do manage to get their attention, the servers are keen to help. Overall, it's a great place to stop by while you're in the area.
