What User dislikes about Zig Zag Licensed Cafe:
As a local who has tried this place dozens of times I feel they have upped the price of coffee and cake way too much for a little suburbs Cafe. Quality good but cbd prices. View all feedback.
I really, really want to love Zig Zag. I live just down the road, everything else in the complex is awesome, and I love the idea of being able to pop down for breakfast at the local. Don't get me wrong, the food's not bad. It's just not ... great. Or consistent. We've had a couple of really nice meals, but on balance the majority have been less than wonderful. They do a great range of T2 tea though, and the coffee's always consistently lovely!Unfortunately, the service is incredibly hit and miss. The last time I popped in was clearly an off day - a tradie popped in to order a sandwich and was treated with surprising disdain for asking what was available (hell, maybe there's a backstory and these poor people are just sick of dealing with him, who knows?). Being a very small cafe with a semi-exposed kitchen, it is unfortunate customers inside the cafe can clearly hear conversations going on within - including about customer's requests. Now, I LOVE to amuse people, but being laughed at for asking for butter for a croissant? Come on, guys. Not on.
I go here as it's across the road from home. Food is basic and coffee ☕ poor. The service is friendly but not very customer focused.
The coffee wad beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. The new owner is very friendly and attentive. I had a BLT sandwich. It came out hot and crunchy. Beautiful
This charming café is a hidden gem near Macquarie University, featuring three small tables inside and a spacious outdoor seating area with umbrellas. The coffee is excellent, and the breakfast wraps are both tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, I’d rate the food 4/5, the service 4/5, and the atmosphere 4/5.
The portion of the food was not compatible w the price you pay very expensive to compare w other brunch The expectation for big breakfast is s bog plate w everything but it was one piece of bacon, half tomato etc And they asked for 2 dollar to change the scramble to poached and then the poached was not good at all Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch
