Very good, not excellent since the chairs and tables are very low for my taste. The alternative is to be located on the terrace or directly at the bar. The rest is excellent, the service, the quality and presentation of the snacks, burgers, etc. The...drinks, wine, champagne, super. Recommended, yes or yes. You must visit. View all feedback.
What Charles Letellier doesn't like about Bar Le Capian:
We stayed at the InterContinental for 3 nights in July, and had our last meal in Marseille here. It is a pity, despite the fact that they have a good menu, good food and a great view from the terrace, the service was atrocious! One waiter took our orders, and then they had a shift change, and simply forgot about us, we had to remind the other waiters a few times of our existence.Best avoided! View all feedback.
We had some great champagne and some nice cocktails. Service was friendly and efficient the view perfect with nice breeze.
This is THE place in Marseille to meet friends for a glass, or to finish a long day of shopping and sightseeing before going to dinner. The service is impeccable, the drinks divine, and you just have to sit back and enjoy. We always go there when in Marseille.
I was staying in the hotel for 2 nights and having walked around the city I decided to stay in the hotel for both my nights. The first evening (a Fri) the waiter was very attentive and I had some cocktails and white wine along with some food. The cocktails were very good and the wine was lovely, the food was OK - I had the asian hotdogs which came from Le Fenetres - they were not the best - too much bun and very little taste - the chips with them were very nice. Food was a bit disappointing but the bar and drinks, atmosphere and serveice were outstanding. The duet they had playing live music were also very good.Roll forward 24 hours and it was like a different place. The same barman was no longer attentive. They tried to moce me out as there was a function - they said I would prefer to work somewhere quieter but when I said I was happy, I never got served again - 40 mins I waited for a drink and then gave up and tried to get my bill. I assume it was because I was sitting reading and that was not the sort of crowd they wanted with the cool DJ they had booked. Made worse by the fact that everyone in the bar but me go served a pastis drink fro free (from what I could tell) - and the waiter purposely missed me out! I felt very uncomfortable at the end and left.I was trying to eat but ended up having room service because of this 'function' - there was only a few folk in the bar when I left so not sure how busy it was going to get!Mixed feelings - it may have been a language thing but the first night I felt very welcome and the second night I felt in the way!
Delicious cocktails, great staff and an amazing view. This all you will find at the Bar Le Capian. InterContinental Hotel Dieu is already a great hotel, but the bar helps to bring it to the top!
We spent an hour and a half enjoying the drinks and great view of the Vieux Port and Notre Dame de la Guard. Great drinks (I highly recommend the Local Speciality: Pastis or the fashionable Aperol Spritz. The service was excellent.
