We had grilled fish, fish skewers, and hamburger. My daughter gave a high five to her burger. Our waitress was new but she tried very hard to tend to our needs. We were glad that we came to this side street from the old port.
The service staff is very patient and friendly. The food is great. We polished off our food. We found the price is. Slur for money.
An average bistrot as many. Good atmosphere, nice staff, regular dishes, but good quality. For locals who to have a quick but quiet lunch, and a good bier.
I've been in Marseille for almost a month. I went here early on as it's near my apartment. It was a busy week day lunchtime. Despite that service was efficient and competent and the food good. I had the duo of beef tartare and carpaccio, my husband had a lamb shank. We enjoyed it and it seemed popular with local workers. Unfortunately, my second visit was rather disappointing. Again it was a weekday lunchtime but later on, after 2.30. However, when I asked, the woman on the desk said they were still serving (after tearing herself away from her phone admittedly). So i sat down and waited...and waited...and waited. I understand they'd wound down for the afternoon, and the waitress I originally spoke to was busy totting up bills. But I wasn't in a rush although I would at least have expected to be given a menu and offered a drink. When the waitress went off outside for a smoke I decided to leave. A shame as they did good fries.
