I was surprised When one of my friends from the USA told me that Marsala wine is popular around the world, I visited this place with my friend. We were told about the story how it started Atlast we can taste the authentic oxidized wine
Great English speaking tour with Valentina! Highly recommend
Great guide who shared a ton of interesting historical information. Fun to see the barrels larger than anything we'd ever seen before. Super lame they only let us try 3 wines with prepackaged snacks for 20 euros. In a smaller Cantina we'd tried ~15 wines for 10 euros and bought many more bottles since we'd had the chance to try a variety of them.
Loved this wine tour from Florio in Marsala. Great history at the winery. The scent of wine in the barrels was something else. The guide was very knowledgeable. And we had a wine tasting in the end. The shop on the winery has been beautifully designed. The city of Marsala is also very beautiful. I wish I was in Marsala for longer. So friendly.
Tour was nice and well organised. Downside is the store at the end of the tour. They sell their own products at an inflated rate compared to for example the airport! (if you substract the tax from the Florio store. Without tax: Florio €15 and airport €12) Really a shame, you would expect them to sell their products at a lower price since you are buying directly from them.
