Yen for Viet - Marrickville

We decided to choose Yen for Viet after reading the review below, and Im glad we did.

Ok - trying to keep my 'constructive' hat on during this review.

Love this place I got to practice my very limited Vietnamese dining language skills with a waiter working on his English language skills all up good fun and sincere Vietnamese fare. I had the pork hot pot cooked in a mini clay pot my dining guest enjoyed their seafood meal and said it was too huge to finish.The packed restaurant of diners looked 50/50 Vietnamese and other diners so good mix and sound indicator of their popularity . Vegetarian & GF options available

Good place to experience viet flavoursStaff could be slow but food is delicious.Plenty if flavours.Not too cheap but if you wanna try good viet flavours,this is a great place.Vietnamese pancakes,pho soups,lemongrass chicken,seafood and noodles are just amazingly delicious.This is one of the best viet places.Enjoy!

Being a local in this area, we've tried most of the vietnamese restaurant here - there are five others within the same street. Our experience with Yen for Viet wasn't too pleasant. They did not offer high chair despite the obvious of bringing our toddler, communication with their staff is abit challenging and the wait for the food is ridiculous. The food? Not too different with the other 5 viet food. Not sure we'd recommend to others but definitely left a bad taste in our mouth.
