I went for a simple beef burger with bacon and chips. It reminded me of the old takeaway shops of the 90s, nothing fancy but tasty and at a pretty decent price. The chips were fairly decent too, I've certainly had worse. If I need a cheap feed, I'd rather go here than the Oporto or Subway up the road. Looking at other reviews, it seems like burgers are better than the yeeros. I ordered via Uber Eats so I paid by cred... View all feedback.
What James R doesn't like about Victoria Yeeros:
Seems to be more of a money making spin than anything these days. Key point is the Cash Only rule however luckily they have a private ATM inside the restaurant... and adding anything to your yeros costs more. The yeros itself has gone from being some of the best in Sydney to one of the most forgettable, average, far better options around. View all feedback.
I used to live in Marrickville in the early nineties and was a big fan of Victoria Yeeros and would not hesitate to endorse or recommend them to anyone as the food and service were both FANTASTIC) and i and my family of 6 kids continued to frequently eat there with numerous pleasurable memories .However i had the opportunity to go there in the weekend with 1 of my kids now 25yrs old and sadly EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED ! The service was terrible , the food did not look fresh , there were no combo meal deals everything had to be purchased individually and it was quite clear they were trying to squeeze every last cent out of every purchase. Undeterred thinking we at least would get a tasty Yeeros ? We ordered 2 Lanb Yeeros with bbq sauce 1 large chips 1 large bottle of water and a can of coke for a total of 41.60.00 . As we were waiting another customer questioned her order and asked how she would be able to tell, she was told quite confidently by the assistant that each one was marked and written on the wrapper she was happy and left. However when we got our order we had 2 lamb Yeeros with chilli and no bbq sauce , i went in and told the assitant she assured me there was no chilli and bbq sauce in the Yeeros and offered me extra bbq sauce . As i continued to eat i could taste the chlli and see the chilli sauce on the wrapper , i went back and asked to see one of the older greek gentleman/cooks inside and asked him if there was any chilli in the Yeeros he assured me there was nothing , i told him that i had an allergy to chilli and had to be hospitalised for 5 days he admitted that there was chilli in the Yeeros and added but only a little bit with a chuckle like it was a hilarious joke ? I told him how long i had been coming there and vowed never to go there again with my family and friends and to steer every prospective customer away from this place as they obviously put more emphasis into making a buck than to providing good quality food, service and atmosphere i think they should close down before they get shut down !Dazza .
Rude service standing behind the counter , food average small portions and very expensive,, they just want your money
I took my wife and daughters to this dump on Monday night because I remember how great it was back in the the early 2000 's. Since then this place has gone downhill really fast, The yeeros is ordinary , so are the burgers. The Greek salad is a complete rip off. They charged me $10 for small salad with **** tomatoes, cheap danish fetta and no oregano, It was awful ! It says 6.50 on the board but then they con you and say it 's $10 if you eat it here. They are thieves and I hope they go out of business ! DO NOT waste your money at this **** establishment. There are plenty of other value for money choices with friendly staff. Victoria Yeeros is a disgrace !
Sorry guys but it's overpriced and ****. Having to pay for extras like sauce made me laugh a little.
Starchy, soggy cold chips, meagre portions and dry meat… with a price completely outsized for the quality and quantity. Victoria Yeeros are a long-standing local business that seem to have really lost the love. People in this neighbourhood are understanding and supportive of small, local businesses. Don’t treat us with contempt.
