Has this place changed the property? We came back after an 8-month Hiatus and it seems to be different. The Reuben sandwich (both Eastern and West Coast) tasted differently (?), But not on a good way. The kitchen hand looks different. We were bitterly disappointed. Not sure if someone else noticed this. View all feedback.

Real good Reuben sandwich in Reuben Republic - delicious and stacked. I had the East Coast Reuben - because it's sauerkraut, along with Pastrami, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. It is served on bright rye bread with a cucumber on the side. A good combination, salty, fleshy, but light and the Russian dressing is a nice touch. Had also the chips that were fine.
Came across these guys while looking for a late lunch and decided to give them a try. Ordered the east coast reuben, double cheeseburger, crispy pork roll and cheese fries. Sandwich was stuffed, they don't hold back on fillings here. Cheeseburger looked great and bf loved it. Cheesy fries are good, liquid swiss cheese was new to me but enjoyable. My pork roll had delicious tender pieces of pork shoulder. Not a fan of the slaw, but dressing is great, and the pork crackling on top added a good crunch. Servings aren't huge but fill you up quite well. It fills up quite fast so there can be a wait when busy, but food is good. Will be back to try more.
Sorry had to drop my rating since the last time. This place has changed and not on a good way. Maybe new owners? The Reuben we got was with Pastrami and a largely tasteless mass of Costlaw, a thin almost forensic slice of cheese and cucumbers that appear on the side now. It is not the beautiful, scary and hand-making version of a year ago. Also very disturbing to see **** as a Kimchi Reuben on the menu. This place where surfing at weekends is now three quarters empty. So sad!
Great Fund in Marrickville! I searched for the perfect Reuben and I think I could find it here! They also do great burgers (to a fantastic price) Beautiful shop, friendly staff
