Was Anonym at Schnell's a mag?
The service can be hit or miss. However, the grilled brat beef is fantastic—make sure to order extra gravy for a deliciously rich flavor. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered red beans and rice with breaded pork chops, but the red beans and rice was served cold. I've never seen white meat on pork chops before. After taking a bite, I instantly felt sick. The manager tried to claim that the red beans were hot, but I told her mine was cold—she should know better as the manager. Great service, but the food was cold, although the prices were reasonable. My dining companion and I ordered mozzarella sticks, a beef po' boy, and a seafood gumbo with a side of potato salad. Our server, Gail, was delightful and skillfully managed our table along with three others on a busy Wednesday night. Unfortunately, the mozzarella sticks arrived lukewarm. The beef po' boy, however, was a hit. The seafood gumbo was a mixed bag; it too was served lukewarm and contained only a tablespoon of tiny shrimp and half of a small crab. The gumbo was lacking in flavor and salt, which might be a plus for those looking to reduce their sodium intake. Overall, our meal cost less than $30.
