big tajinen (we had chicken with lemon and chicken with plumen). the personal: friendly and professional, certainly not trostlos/obnoxious. the place is huge: no fear when they find the tables empty! we thought it was a bad sign, but the rest and the empty of the restaurant proved to be a good news, especially after hours to foot around the extremely crowded and hectic medina. What User doesn't like about El Bahia:
Lavish interiors downstairs, plainer on the roof terrace. Mint tea wasn't very strong. Patisseries were delicious, though. We felt a bit sorry for the tortoises wandering about on the roof. View all feedback.
The inner is truly spectacular at this place! we came for a drink and sat on the huge terrace overlooking the medina. the drinks were cheap and we were very happy to be associated with a friendly little turtle, although we were worried that he would get up! the terrace is huge as the restaurant in the ground floor. but the opulence from the restaurant does not go further up. if we had been another night in marrakech, we would have eaten here, especially as it seems to be dancing shows!
Despite the place being empty it turned out to be a surprisingly good experience. The restaurant has a courtyard beautifully decorated in Moroccan style and a roof terrace. The food two different tajines was delicious and exquisite. The service was attentive and efficient. The price was a bit above the average, 100 dirhans for each dish, but it was worth it. They have beers what was great since I could put an end to my abstinence in Morocco. : D
Good food, good service. A bit pricey for maroc but not good value for the money, and the marrocan wine is good enough.
One dish was amazing (lemon chicken targine), the other (lamb couscous) seemed to be missing the lamb.... But the flavour was still good as were the portion sizes. Lots of bread to mop up the tasty sauce and a mountain of couscous! We couldn’t finish it all! Friendly service. Our waitress was lovely. Close to the palace so the prices were a little high. But a good choice if you’re in that area and want a safe option for lunch and dinner.
Nice place and nice food. A bit overpriced though. They do not accept credit cards so be aware that you have to pay cash…
