This place is amazing. Not only is the vegetarian selection fantastic, but the interior design is absolutely beautiful. A must-try ! Updated from previous review on 2024-06-24
This was truly thebmost beautiful and authentic restaurant we’ve been to in Morocco. The house dates back to the 16th century but it was amazingly restored. Upon our entrance the lovely emp’oyees gave us a tour and told us about the incredible details, which instantly made us feel like we were at a true museum. Before we came we checked the reviews all over the internet, all comment were great, except a few that suggested that the restaurant’s prices were a bit overpriced compared to other restaurants in marrakech. But when we arrived at the location, and had delicious food we thought that it was worth every penny, especially when you think of museum in europe and western world, there known for having higher prices because of they are museums. So to us it felt just right! We ordered hummus(literally best hummus we’ve had) , the briouates, quinoa salad with avocado and shrimp, some moroccan pastries with tea. Everything was scrumptious! While leaving the place we asked if such place was owned by Moroccans or foreigners and we were so delighted to hear that is 100% moroccan and that the family who operates it is all about historical preservation which was so nice to hear!
