Arrived on a Sunday morning without a booking and it's popularity was evident. After waiting 15 minutes we were seated outside under the heater (thank god).. coffee was good, breakfast was delicious. The service team were competent and appeared unrattled by the volume of customers. A nice suburban surprise View all feedback.

The food was good, as was service, but for me, far too noisy and large, no atmosphere, like a food court at a shopping centre .
Had breakfast here on Wednesday. We couldn't believe how busy it was. Service was fast and friendly and the waitresses knew the menu too! I ordered the 'curiouser and curiouser avo' which was delicious. It was smashed avacado on multigrain toast with feta, dukkah, pomegranate and fresh mint. A very substantial meal. Our coffees were hot and delivered quickly after ordering. A great atmosphere and lovely decor. We're going back next week for coffee and cake. The cakes look awesome and all made in house. The only downfall is having to park across the road at the Bayswater hotel then cross over a busy Scoresby road.
A well located restaurant in the outer east. Excellent menu. We tried 3 dishes, all of which were excellent. Young children are well looked after, hence the many new mums enjoying a midweek brunch. Parking is tricky, so use the hotel car park across the road. Overall a pleasant family meal. Recommended.
What a much needed breath of culinary fresh air in the 'burbs! Hatters is innovative, creative and above all delicious. The chefs transform the humble smashed avo into a multifaceted work of art, the sou-vied duck is sublime and the cured salmon melts in your mouth. Porridge is a magical journey down the rabbit-hole at Hatters and their sour-dough is pure alchemy. And I haven't even begun to talk about their cakes. Multi-layered gems the cakes glisten on the counter saying 'eat me' ! Not overly sweet and very complex the variety of cakes is seemingly endless. With fabulous coffee (try a turmeric latte for something different) and snappy service the Hatter and the Hare is a must for any self-respecting foodie!
