Riverside - Marlow

Just a short note of sincere appreciation for the kind and friendly personal attention we were given yesterday by our waiter with our big party on tee. he would be a credit to any organization and I would certainly come back.

Was not in 8 years in this hotel, so I was looking forward to the revisit. we had a reservation for Sunday dinner and were immediately greeted by the reception staff. the restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the river and the food. the beef and yorkshire pudding was delicious and they gave me a lot extra gravy. the service was excellent. as soon as we sit, they took our drink order and delivered fresh bread rolls. all staff were just so friendly and engaged. only what was missing was the sunshine. I hear they have a renow next year. can not wait to go back

Terrible food… the crispy squid was soggy, the Monkfish was small and just sitting on some cold raw vegetables. It was like stepping into a restaurant of the seventies, dark, drab. The seating area next to the river was narrow with no umbrellas. We were kindly refunded for our lunch

5 of us arrived for a late Sunday afternoon lunch. The service was ok but the food took a while to arrive. Now, about that; the portions were tiny. Not worth the obscene price of £45 per person. Chestnut Gnocchi was awful. Fancy presentation but subpar food. The only thing going for that restaurant was the view. Really disappointing.
