However, on this visit... read more We have been to Nanny’s many times over the years and have always enjoyed the taste and quality of the food, along with friendly service. However, on this visit, the vegetables were cold, the bread was dry, the gumbo was lukewarm, and all lacked the taste that their food once had. And to top things off, we saw a roach crawling on the floor near our table. Possibly if the food was hot, it would have tasted better. Upon arriving at the noon hour, we noticed that the parking lot had few vehicles, and once inside we saw only two customers. Haven’t been to this restaurant in a couple of years; possibly it is under new management. We very disappointed in our visit to Nanny’s and will not go back.

The value is excellent, and the food is fantastic, all served by friendly staff. There's always someone you know to chat with too! Now, let's talk about the food – everything on the menu is a winner! My personal favorite is the hamburger steak, and the side salad is always fresh and flavorful! This spot is definitely one of my go-to places in town. If you’re vegetarian, you’ll find plenty of options to suit your preferences. Plus, it’s wheelchair accessible, which is important for me when dining out!

I had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, along with garlic bread. My friend ordered the grilled pork steaks with French fries and also garlic bread. We both enjoyed sweet tea to drink.
