The food and environment were okay, but the waiter 's eyes were not very good. My friend and I wanted to order and waited for a long time. After finally the waiter came, the first thing he asked us was, Do you want to pay? My friend and I had a look on our faces. Confused.
Been to many china dumpling houses and have to say this one is okay. Isn't quite at the top or at the bottom. Pictures as u can see didn't come up as beautiful as the menu. It was a bit overcooked, u see some almost brown crispy golden crust that pretty much ended up but burnt. For the price it's okay, would come back for another try and hopefully find it better. There are some bonuses for paying cash. In all it's a good place to go, try some china dumplings and it's quite filling.
Every food item was really oily and salty. Ordered:rainbow soup dumplings (dry and salty)pan fried pork and cabbage dumplings (good)braised beef noodle (vvvvvery salty, oily, noodles soggy)pork and fennel dumplings (oily and very salty but ok)
Love the rainbow XiaoLongBao. Each colour had extinguishing tastes. The lamb dumplings was also really good. But kind of over priced for just dumplings.
The restaurant has changed their recipes and the food is not as good as it used to be. I would not recommend this place, especially after tipping them. The server even asked me if I made a mistake in tipping and essentially asked for more. She bombarded me with questions about the food and service, and why I only left a small tip. I felt guilty and pressured to pay more. If I could, I would take back my tip. Giving this restaurant 0 stars would be generous.
