This charming and tidy noodle restaurant offers a unique dining experience where you can choose your own noodles and ingredients from a selection of bowls. The pricing is based on weight. Most of the staff speak Mandarin, which created a slight language barrier during my visit. Be aware that you have to pay for water, so I suggest bringing your own water bottle. What Steven Fan dislikes about Spice And Aroma:
I spent over $60 on two Malatang meals, and I was disappointed by the messy packaging and presentation. The soup leaked from the container, spilling onto the food. The lettuce was overcooked, and although I ordered it medium spicy, it turned out to be way too spicy for my taste. I even had to rinse the meal twice with cold water to tone down the heat. The food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it to my friends!
I think that the soup is a bit plain and I wish they could add more tahini.
Best MaLaTang ever, even better than the one I had in China

This quaint little restaurant may be small, but it delivers a remarkable burst of flavor! They offer a variety of ingredients for you to create your own mala hotpot for one. Just a heads-up: they charge by weight, so be mindful not to go overboard! The flavors are delightful and have that perfect numbing sensation. I often opt for the dry mix at an additional cost. The wait time is approximately 15 minutes. It can become somewhat pricey, especially if you decide to add beef or lamb slices.
