I had a terrible experience with the franchise owner at the Second Cup location in Markville, Markham, Ontario. I ordered a Candy Cane White Hot Chocolate for my daughter, but the cashier was unaware of the promotion despite the sign being displayed in front of the store. I was charged for a regular white hot chocolate instead. When the owner made the drink, it was missing whipped cream and candy cane sprinkles. When I inquired about this, he became frustrated and insisted that I should have ordered the whipped cream separately. He blamed me for not being clear in my order and told me to be more precise next time. I was extremely disappointed and would not return to this Second Cup location. The service was slow and the staff seemed poorly trained on current promotions. This experience made me regret giving this location my business, as I am usually a fan of Starbucks where the baristas provide much better service. This will definitely be my last visit to Second Cup at Markville.
I was served a muffin that had a moldy ingredient in it. I attempted to discreetly point this out to the staff in order to get a refund, but they claimed it was just green carrot and accused me of trying to scam them.
I used to be a regular customer at Second Cup before moving to the United States a year ago. I had a disappointing experience at the Markville Mall location today. I arrived at 11/11:30 this morning to order my favorite drink, a honey vanilla tea latte. The storefront was empty, and after searching, I found a staff member on her phone who seemed uninterested in helping me. When I requested the honey vanilla tea latte, she informed me they only had a vanilla bean latte with honey on the side. Despite explaining that I wanted the specific drink I had ordered over 50 times before, she did not offer to check with her colleagues or try to accommodate my request. The debit machine was not working, and I had to wait for the manager to fix it. When I finally spoke to the manager, he also seemed confused by my order and suggested I simply add honey to a vanilla latte. I was left feeling frustrated and decided to order a different drink. A friend who works at another Second Cup location confirmed that they still offer the honey vanilla tea latte, even though it's not on the menu. I was advised to avoid the Markville location due to poor service and management. I agree with this assessment and would recommend visiting the other Second Cup locations in the area instead.
I went to this place to attend a card factory. Although the place was very small and very busy, it never felt crowded. No one interrupted the workshop. There were some spectators watching from a distance. Although it is on busy Main... Traffic noises have never been a problem. Parking is available in the garage, which is comfortable on rainy days. The staff was very friendly and efficient.
